(OSTEOTOMY)
A wide nose is caused by a low, broad nasal bridge or bone, which can affect the attractiveness of the eyes as it causes them to look farther apart. It is also more noticeable because the nose is located in the center of the face. Usually, the width of the bridge can be reduced by performing an osteotomy. This method is effective in making the bridge look slim and defined.
How is Osteotomy performed?
There are various methods for reducing the width of the nasal bones, but the most effective method
is the osteotomy. This surgical method breaks the nasal bone on each side and then rearranges it into
the desired width. When a hump removal is also performed in conjunction with the osteotomy, it
maximizes the effect of improving the appearance of the nose.
Osteotomy can benefit:
- People with a wide nasal bridge.
- People with thick nasal bones.
