UPPER EYELID

SURGERY

As aging begins, the eyelids become droopy and the eye opening muscles (levator muscle) become loose. These symptoms can cause “ptosis” in the eye(s) and accelerate the aging process by forming wrinkles around the eyes and forehead. Upper Blepharoplasty uses a full incision along the upper eyelid crease to remove excess fat and sagging skin to create a youthful eye appearance. If necessary, ptosis correction is performed in conjunction to strengthen the weakened eye opening muscles.

How is Upper Eyelid Surgery performed?

First a full incision is made along the crease of the eyelid. Then, the excess tissue is removed. The remaining tissue is corrected by lifting, finally the incision is sutured leaving youthful and energetic looking eyes.

Upper Eyelid Surgery can benefit:

- People with sagging or hooded eyelids.
- People with an obstructed field of vision.
