EARLOBE

REPAIR

Earlobe Repair is a procedure that aims to repair a split or torn earlobe, stretched earlobes, enlarged earring hole in earlobes, or any other history of trauma to the earlobe. Torn, stretched, and enlarged earlobes are one of the most common aesthetic deformities of the ear and can result from heavy earrings, an earlobe that is pierced too low on the ear, or from trauma. Unfortunately, it can cause significant distress to the patient who wants to continue to wear earrings or would like to restore symmetry to their earlobes.

How is Earlobe Repair performed?

The Earlobe Repair is done under local anesthesia. Once the patient is numbed, the inner lining of the elongated earlobe hole is removed surgically, and the edges are then closed back together with stitches. The placement and design of the suturing will help to make the length of the earlobe shorter.

Earlobe Repair can benefit:

- People who have previously stretched their earlobes.
- People who have elongated earlobes due to years of wearing heavy earrings.
- People who have an ear deformity.
