BULBOUS TIP

(TIP PLASTY)

A Bulbous Tip is caused when the skin of the nasal tip is too thick or has excess soft tissue and/or the septal cartilage is too thick or big. When this type of nose is corrected, a sharper and slimmer -looking nose is created.

How is Tip Plasty surgery performed?

For a wide and bulbous tip, it is necessary to remove the excess cartilage and/or reshape the nasal tip using septal, ear, or rib cartilage. When the shape of the tip becomes narrower, it will result in a significant improvement in appearance and give a more defined image. It is important to maintain nasal symmetry during the correction and it is often recommended in conjunction with dorsal augmentation to yield a more dramatic improvement.

Tip Plasty surgery can benefit:

- People with a round and blunt nose tip.
- People with a thick and wide nose tip.
- People unhappy with their nose tip appearance.
